A static IP matters for a business more often than for a home — it’s what you need for a self-hosted server, a VPN link between sites, or remote access to an on-premise NVR. Note that these are dedicated business speeds (25/50/100 Mbps) rather than the “up to 500 Mbps” figure quoted for home Fiber and AirFiber plans — check which number matters more for how your business actually uses its connection.
Check 3: calling, not just data
Wipra Broadband’s Business plans come with SIP HD calling, up to 50 channels, without call drop — enough to handle 50 outgoing and incoming calls at the same time. Importantly, this SIP service isn’t bound to any specific internet plan, so a business can keep its existing landline numbers rather than having to change them when it switches internet or calling provider. If your business runs a call-heavy front desk or support line, this is worth checking against whatever your current provider offers.
What’s the same as home plans, and what’s different
Some terms carry over from Wipra’s home plans, and some don’t:
- No security deposit — same as home plans, no deposit on Business/SME either.
- Installation — for Business, the site simply says “Ask us about installation for your site,” rather than the fixed “installation charges depend on feasibility” line used for Fiber and AirFiber. Either way, no amount is quoted upfront — ask when you enquire.
- Equipment — same as home plans: all equipment stays company property, and damage is chargeable.
- Billing cycle — same as home plans: bills are generated on the 1st of every month, due on the 10th, with temporary suspension after that and reactivation within 4 hours maximum of payment.
- Backbone — Business plans specifically note their backbone partners: Airtel, Enet and TCL (Tata Communications), with TCL also providing the underlying bandwidth.
- Upgrades — you can upgrade your Business plan at any time, same as home plans.
