What a static IP is, and who needs one
A static IP is an internet address for your connection that stays the same every time, instead of changing each time your router reconnects. On Wipra Broadband, every AirFiber plan and every Business (SME) plan includes 1 static IP with P2P mode — Fiber plans don’t list one.
What a static IP actually is
Most home broadband connections use a dynamic IP address — an address that can change whenever your router restarts or reconnects to the network. A static IP stays fixed. That matters only if something outside your home network needs to reliably find your connection at the same address every time — most everyday browsing, streaming and video calls work perfectly well on a dynamic IP and never need one.
Common reasons people ask for a static IP
These are general, well-known uses of a static IP — not specific to any one provider:
- Remote access to an on-premise NVR or DVR. If you’ve set up your own camera recorder at a shop or office and want to view it remotely without going through a cloud service, a fixed address makes that connection reliable.
- Running a small server. A website, a file server, or any service you want to reach from outside your network benefits from an address that doesn’t change.
- VPN or point-to-point (P2P) links. Connecting two sites directly, or setting up a VPN endpoint, generally needs a fixed address at each end.
Which Wipra Broadband plans include a static IP
Every AirFiber plan — AIRFIBER@2999, AIRFIBER@4999 and AIRFIBER@7999 — includes 1 static IP with P2P mode, alongside up to 500 Mbps speed. Every Business (SME) plan — SME@5000, SME@8000 and SME@14000 — also includes 1 static IP with P2P mode. The three Fiber plans (FIBER@499, FIBER@899, FIBER@1699) do not list a static IP as a feature; they’re built for apartments and societies rather than server or remote-access use.

How to get a static IP with Wipra Broadband
Since it comes bundled with the plan rather than as a separate add-on, getting a static IP just means signing up for an AirFiber or Business plan. Follow the same process as any new connection: pick the AirFiber or Business plan that fits, then contact Wipra Broadband with your name, mobile number, email, plan and address. There’s no security deposit, and installation charges depend on feasibility for your site.

Do Fiber plans come with a static IP?
No — none of the three Fiber plans (₹499, ₹899, ₹1,699) list a static IP. It’s included on AirFiber and Business/SME plans only.
What is P2P mode, alongside the static IP?
Wipra Broadband lists “1 static IP with P2P mode” together as a feature on every AirFiber and Business plan — P2P (point-to-point) mode is what lets two sites or a VPN endpoint connect directly using that fixed address.
Do I need a static IP just to view my cameras remotely?
Not always. Many camera brands offer their own mobile app or cloud view that works without a static IP. A static IP helps when you want to reach your own NVR, DVR or server directly. AirFiber and Business plans include 1 static IP.
Is a static IP available as an add-on to a Fiber plan?
